Teaching
Vrutant has taught introductory, algebra-based physics at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth. During his MS studies, he served as a graduate teaching fellow for Introduction to Physics I (Summer 2021) and Introduction to Physics II (Spring 2022), delivering the lectures and preparing the mid-term and final exams and quizzes. He has also worked as a laboratory teaching assistant for the mechanics and electromagnetism labs, and as a recitation teaching assistant, helping students to navigate through problems and come up with logical reasoning for their answers. PHY 101 Introduction to Physics I

An algebra-based first-semester survey of classical mechanics. The course moves from measurement and one- and two-dimensional kinematics through Newton’s laws of motion, circular motion and gravitation, work and energy, linear momentum and collisions, and rotational motion, and ends with an introduction to fluids. Vrutant delivered the lectures and prepared the chapter slides and problem sets.

PHY 102 Introduction to Physics II
Spring 2022 Graduate Teaching Fellow · Department of Physics, UMass Dartmouth
The algebra-based second-semester continuation, covering thermal physics, waves, electromagnetism, and optics, taught to a class of 55+ undergraduates. Topics span heat and thermodynamics, wave motion, electric fields and capacitance, current and DC circuits, magnetic fields and inductance, and geometric and physical optics. Vrutant delivered the lectures and prepared the chapter slides, exams, and problem sets.
